Starting Bundeena to Otford walk
The walk can be started from either direction but most tend to start from Bundeena, as the campground that you will be staying the night, the North Era campground is located approximately two-thirds of the way into the walk from Bundeena. Meaning that you will get most of the ground covered in your first day, as the final park of the track, the hike up the hill to the Otford lookout is the most challenging part of the track and so the added time of this section of the track will need to be accounted for.
Park fees do apply if you plan on staying overnight at the North era campground, note that this is the only area of the track where overnight camping is permitted. You can book online here and get more information on the campground itself.
Pack plenty of water and remember that everything you need you will need to carry with you, so pack smart, also make sure to carry any rubbish you made with you when you leave the track.
If you go between the months of May and August keep an eye out for whales off the coast on your Bundeena to Otford walk.
