Wollomombi Falls of New England New South wales and the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park Is the tallest single drop waterfall in NSW. It is the second largest in Australia, behind Wallaman falls of Queensland. There are a few options to choose for viewing the falls. If you're in a hurry or don't feel up to a longer walk there is a good viewing platform 100 meters from the car park. This platform provides a great view of the valley view of Wollomombi fall itself. Chandler falls can also be viewed from here, cascading to the right of Wollomombi falls. 500 meters down this track will then lead you to Chandler viewpoint, another viewing point of the falls.

Another, longer track will lead you over, upstream of the falls leading to Chandler falls. This walk is easy but is 4km return so be sure to pack water for the walk. This track, marked as Wollomombi walking track will take you roughly 1-2 hours depending on fitness levels.

Picnic facilities and toilets are available here, making it a great pit stop on a passing through road trip. Keep an eye out for the frequently spotted wedge tail eagles known in the Wollomobi gorge. The campground is also a good option for an overnight stay to recharge after a long drive.

While on the road there are many more spectacular waterfalls worth exploring nearby. A 30 minute drive north along waterfall way will bring you to Ebor Falls. Further North still will bring you to the Dorrigo national park, teaming with waterfalls and rain forest.
