Nestled away in the valleys of Wee Jasper is the tranquil Micalong creek. Offering various swimming holes along its course. Starting at the end of the road through a campground of Micalong creek reserve. You will find a turnaround point with various places to park your car here.

The Walk

The walk is a very easy grade for the first 350 metres where you will find the first swimming hole. This swimming hole has a gentle gradient with sand, making it ideal for your kids. The second half of the walk leads to two more swimming holes, a shallow rocky swimming hole, followed by a deeper one with falls. This second half of the trail is roughly 400 metres, but requires climbing up some steps in the rocks and is rather steep/slipper at some points. This half is not recommended for children, enclosed footwear is encouraged.

Around Micalong creek

The area of week jasper is rich in limestone, meaning there are lots of caves to explore, both for experienced cavers and for those wanting guided tours.
