Beauchamp Falls Track is a beautiful rainforest walk in Otway Forest Park, near Beech Forest in Victoria’s Great Ocean Road region. This 2.7 km out and back walk takes around 1 hour to complete and leads through lush Otways rainforest to one of the area’s most impressive waterfalls.

The walk begins from the Beauchamp Falls Campground picnic area, making it a great option for campers, day visitors and anyone exploring the waterfalls around Beech Forest. From the trailhead, the track winds through towering mountain ash forest, thick ferns and damp rainforest gullies, giving you a classic taste of the Otways’ cool temperate rainforest.

The highlight of the walk is Beauchamp Falls, a spectacular 20 metre waterfall surrounded by dense greenery. After rain, the falls can be especially impressive, with water tumbling into the forested valley below. The viewing area is a rewarding place to pause, take photos and enjoy the sound of the falls before beginning the return walk.

While Beauchamp Falls Track is relatively short, the walk does involve a steady descent on the way in and a climb back out on the return. The track can also be muddy or slippery, particularly after wet weather, so sturdy walking shoes are recommended. Allow extra time if you want to stop for photos or enjoy a slower walk through the rainforest.
