This walk is only a short one and leads to a sensational swimming hole. There is unfortunately very limited parking for Upper Gledhill Falls, if heading East on Mccarrs creek road, 20 metres after the bridge over Mccarrs creek if a small parking bay. This parking bay has room for 2 or 3 cars. If heading west, there is the same deal on the west side of the bridge. Otherwise you will need to find alternate parking and walk to upper gledhill falls.

Dispite being so close the the road, the high walls surrounding keep this heavenly place mostly quite and tranquil.

Climbing down to Upper Gledhill Falls

The way down to the falls isn’t an official or marked trail, so you will need to mostly use the warn in tracks other have taken. Depending on what route you find down the climb can be a little bit technical and wouldn’t be recommended for young children and or the elderly. We also recommend enclosed shoes, lose vegetation on rocks can make the way down slippery.

Swimming at Upper Gledhill Falls

This is one of our swimming holes in the ku-ring-gai Chase national park. The water is deep and clear, complete with a rope swing. The water fall is an awesome scenic touch. This is definitely an Instagram worthy spot.
