Crystal Shower Falls
Details
Crystal shower falls is a short walk that can be found within the Dorrigo National Park. There are BBQ facilities, toilets and a car park at the beginning of the walk, however, none throughout this bushwalk. This is a very popular tourist spot so parking spots can be very limited.
Starting the walk to Crystal Shower Falls:
The walk has two starting points depending on where you park your car. You can begin the walk from the information centre, seeing the Skywalk at the start of the walk or you can park closer to the falls at the end car park. This can be found on your right when driving in. This is can be a loop walk or you have the option to do it was a walk on its own. The look track is over 6kms with plenty of great stops along the way.
Walking from Carpark to Crystal Shower Falls:
This walk is the quickest way to access the falls and can be completed return in an hour. Park the car in the carpark and follow the paved path. This will take you through the BBQ area and will offer a stunning view of the valley below. You will see paths directing you to the falls. The paths will veer in different directions, some taking you on short bird walks. If you do the loop track they will eventually lead you back to the falls but if not just try to keep to the right if you are wanting to go to Crystal falls first. You will follow a decent which will lead you to the falls. There are plenty of signs throughout the walk to ensure you are heading the right direction.
Crystal shower falls allows for you to walk behind the flow of water. You can admire it from the view of the bridge or follow the short path down below and behind the falls. Return the same way or continue the walk to Tristania falls. Regardless of which track you take on the return, it will be a little steep.
